Coming To Play In Your Town
The nice thing is that mdr play best in front of strangers, they say. But is there a point in travelling miles to play before a mere handful of punters, you ask? We know what you are saying and we know what we always say in response to this. Do we actually have to say it out loud?
So, we travel out of town to venues we have never previously visited to perform to those who think they may be entertained by a South American long legged beauty. Following this? You are? Excellent. We play what we play, never ever think about the way things should be done. And do we do it for a reason? Foremost, for our own pleasure but that doesn't mean that we don't want you to enjoy it, too. Sometimes you do, don't you? We know it.
The unknown is pleasurable, the known is in many ways pointless. Want to see a photo of a picture? Not really, but I would be happy to watch while you paint, while you create. We are getting somewhere now. MDR exist in public although perhaps not in the way that we would want to. We would like to go to more places, see more faces and be more adventurous in our performance. There are constraints and most of them are time related - we would like to go and spend summers in foreign parts, in foreign bars but have thus far decided that this is not on our collective agenda. And for what it's worth, we are so smart. And we laugh at ourselves at every turn. No, really.
So maybe we will travel further, maybe we will come to your town. All you have to say is, come! I like the idea. We all do.
Okay, where shall we go to first? Shout up!
